When it comes to having an eye for spotting a cracking piece of land, Sean is in a class of his own. He trained as a Land Surveyor and has a Valuation Surveying degree.

He joined his family business 25 years ago after gaining experience working for some of the big boys in the building trade.

He travelled extensively in his younger days and spent 12 months working in Australia and the United States. He says the secret of staying on top of his game is exercise. Sean runs five times a week and has done two marathons and numerous half-marathons, he also plays golf and enjoys watching rugby and cricket. He’s a big supporter of Leigh Rugby League Football Club. Sport aside his other loves are music (especially The Beatles) and good food and wine.

It’s not surprising given his Irish heritage that his favourite words are `having the craic’.

Neil is an all rounder in the true sense of the word. After leaving school he was taken on as an apprentice professional cricketer at the home of cricket, Lord’s, and for 12 months was part of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) staff.

He says the experience has helped him enormously in the business world because he’s a team player, fights to the end and hates losing !! Neil ran his own insurance company before moving into property in 1995, and owns houses in the UK and America.

It should come as no surprise that he is sports-mad, but these days has exchanged his cricket bat for golf clubs, and also enjoys watching Warrington Rugby League football Club. Sport aside, Neil has a weak spot for red wine, live music gigs and walking in Yorkshire.

Our Accountant Dave Kirkland isn’t just an expert in figures he knows a thing or two about football and music.  Dave has worked in finance since he left school, and for 19 years was in the office at the University of Manchester, followed by 15 years working for one of the UK’s high street fashion brand.

He joined Redwaters in January 2016 and says he is looking forward to learning all he can about the construction industry.

Being an accountant doesn’t mean Dave is good with money, he loves spending it on the two loves of his life – football and music.

He has been a Manchester United supporter for over 50 years and as a season ticket holder rarely misses a home game, and goes to as many away games as possible. He attends lots of concerts too, and while his music taste is varied, his favourite all time bands are Pink Floyd and Coldplay.  On the football front his hero is former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Dave also enjoys eating and cooking, his weakness being Italian and Indian food and he makes a  mean spaghetti Bolognese.
